Despite its upbeat tempo, the lyrics suggest that the narrator is almost stalking her lover (or believes he will find her in everything he sees and touches… at least, that's my interpretation of things. I have always fantasized listening to this song on a 2am drive on some untraveled road. This. This. This song absolutely devastates me. It's about Dave's best friend who died and he stepped into a human centrifuge over a dozen times to recreate the feeling of dying. I don't wanna talk I just wanna dance is pretty straightforward. Good vibes. But also sad vibes. Dancing is fun and flowy and good and letting loose. And it's forgetting and it's doing something and Dave cannot stand still, in this song but also in his performances in general. It's. It's beautiful to watch honestly. I don't have many prompts for this other than dancing fun, but also describing anything of how they got here. "I built a house and you burned it down" is such a lyric. The recording says "We were good once / but I'm fucked up now" and live he tends to sing "but you're so cold now" which is interesting. The relationship that seemed so good but then turned on its head, this partner who tells Dave he's fucked up suddenly, the way they liked each other but now he breaks up out of nowhere and dancing is the only thing he can do right now. yeah

I don't wanna talk I just wanna dance is pretty straightforward. Good vibes. But also sad vibes. Dancing is fun and flowy and good and letting loose. And it's forgetting and it's doing something and Dave cannot stand still, in this song but also in his performances in general. It's. It's beautiful to watch honestly. I don't have many prompts for this other than dancing fun, but also describing anything of how they got here. "I built a house and you burned it down" is such a lyric. The recording says "We were good once / but I'm fucked up now" and live he tends to sing "but you're so cold now" which is interesting.
