Welcome to Jukebox 2018! This is a fanworks gift exchange in which art, fic, and podfic is created about songs and music videos.

Canon nominations will occur during 20-30 March this year. You can nominate 7 songs or music videos (plus potential bonus round, see below). The rules about what can be nominated can be found here and haven't changed from last year.

Please use this post or its LiveJournal equivalent to discuss what you're thinking of nominating! See also the past brainstorming tag.

Bonus nominations round
At the end of nominations, if I have enough time, I will ask for further nominations suggestions - these must be for songs & music videos that were nominated in previous years. This is in addition to your 7 nominations.


Sign-ups changes
I am making two changes to sign-ups this year.

First, requests will be visible throughout the sign-up period.

Second, I am enabling the optional details field in the Offers section of the sign-up. These details will be visible only to me and you - not to other participants. You can use this field to give me further information about your matching preferences, if you want. You don't have to use this field. I will read and make note of your preferences but may not be able to follow them - my first priority is to ensure that everyone has a recipient based on the fandoms and media they have offered.

Does a reason need to be given for mentioning matching preferences in the optional details field?

Hi!

No, none. I don't need to know, except as it helps me follow your instructions (to the extent possible - I am still prioritizing everyone having someone to create for).

Here are some situations where I can see this working:

-you want certain people not to write/draw/record for you
-you want certain people not to be your recipients (though please offer so as to have more than one possible recipient, if you can)
-you want to be matched, as a creator, to someone with a letter
-you want to be matched, as a creator, to someone with minimal/no prompts
-you'd most like to get someone prompting for fantasy or horror
-among your requests, you have (a) favourite(s), and if someone's offering that, you'd like me to try to match you with a creator offering it

also, if anyone's worried about entering details in the wrong part of the form, they are welcome to email the mod account instead of filling the offer Optional Details in.
