Addendum to my original comment: All the Child ballads. ALL OF THEM. I think "Scarborough Fair" (it's on the list under "The Elfin Knight") and "Tam Lin" and "Twa Sisters" are the best known.

And "Poem of War" from the Ember Days soundtrack, if it qualifies--it's setup for the film and it's rather Eurocentric but damn is it beautiful. The reason I think it might not qualify is the words are spoken, not sung.
