The Summer Before the War - Fairport Convention (Song)

I would really love to know more about this group of friends. What are their relationships and backstories? What happened to them during or after the war? The song sounds very nostalgic, which makes me wonder: did one of them die in the war? Or maybe no one died but there was some big change to their relationships or personal lives or the world around them. I do not particularly care what time period in history this is set in or even what country, honestly. If you would like to do some interesting and original world-building, it could be set in a fantasy world. (However, please no apocalypse or dystopia settings.)
For whatever reason, I always headcanon the narrator and the “you” as siblings, but they don’t have to be. While I imagine the narrator as male (probably because of the singer’s gender) the “you” doesn’t have a definite gender in the song, so if the “canon” couple are two girls, that would be fine by me.

This song gives off a very haunting, somewhat hopeless feel. I want to know about the (past?) relationship of the people involved and where they are now in their lives. There appear to be vestiges of something broken in this song and I feel like the narrator is very protective of the addressee while also pushing them away. I would just like to know these people and their story is whether or not they get a happy ending. (Whether they do or not is completely up to you.)
I would prefer a real-world, realistic (i.e. without supernatural or magical elements) setting. I would also prefer m/m slash. Failing that, a gen take on the song would also be interesting.

Storm - Lifehouse (Song)

This song is sad and romantic and somehow nostalgic all at once. I want to know about what happened to the narrator’s lover and why they are (seemingly) no longer together or at least near each other. Someone feeling lost and mourning the death of their lover is the first thing that always came to my mind, but please do not feel bound by that interpretation in any way. I just want to know the events that have brought the narrator to this place (mentally, emotionally) and maybe what happens next (e.g. does he get a happy ending with his love after all?).

One of the more popular interpretations of this song holds that it's about watching a friend be lost to addiction, but I'm most interested in a more literal interpretation. The narrator thinks that their friend has become a wolf and seems to view it as an entirely negative outcome, but is that really all that's going on? Does their friend know something they don't know? Maybe the friend had to become a wolf to keep a terrible secret, or even to protect the narrator, or for some other reason entirely...

I'd love a story exploring the history and current uneasy alliance between the narrator and the person she is caring for. He appears to have done something terrible in the past and she may have been complicit in it; at the very least, she has something over him and he knows it. What happened between them, and why does she still feel responsible to care for him now? Is it only because they're family, or is something more? Alternatively, tell me about how the situation detailed in the song is ultimately resolved, or something that happens "post-canon." Does the narrator ever try to take advantage of the power she has? Or does he turn the tables on her somehow?

Absolutely everything about this song is just perfect and I'll be thrilled with any aspect of these characters or their creepy, Cold-War-era setting you might choose to explore. However, I'm most interested in Marie and I'd especially love a story that got me into her head. How much does she know about the extent of Adam's fantasies about their relationship? If she doesn't know about it, what would she think or do if she found out? Does she feel the same way that he does, or is she just passing time with him until she can get out of the bunker? Or is the entire thing just a fun, slightly kinky game they're playing together?

The Queen and the Soldier - Suzanne Vega (Song)

The relationship between the queen and the soldier in this song fascinates me. I doubt the interaction described in the song is the first time they've ever met, and I'd love to know more about their shared history and what finally made them reach this final, tragic interaction. What brought the soldier to this ultimate breaking point of no longer being willing to fight? What is the "secret burning thread" that the queen swallowed? Something romantic with lots of angst would be just fabulous, and genderswapping the soldier would delight me more than I can say.
