Prompts: This song definitely seems to have a paranormal, perhaps poltergeist theme and I love anything like this! What kind of haunting is happening to this narrator, and why? The line "I know it ain't no mouse" seems to suggest that perhaps a cat is involved somewhere - Joey Ramone was a known cat lover, and if anyone would know strange noises in the night are not being caused by mice, it would be a cat! Perhaps the narrator and a loyal cat companion go on a mission to shoo the dastardly spooks out of their abode so they can finally get some sleep - with a broom? With a seance, ouija board or spirit box session? There are so many possibilities!

Prompts: There's quite a few Bigfoot hunters who are literally that, regrettably, thinking that the only way to prove Bigfoot exists is to kill one. But what if someone started out with this attitude and changed their mind, and turns against the idea of killing what may be either a very rare animal or another type of human when they meet one of more of these beings? Perhaps the giant they thought they were going to gun down turned out to be a mother protecting her young, or a wise elder, or a curious youngster? Or perhaps a Bigfoot ends up saving the hunter's life? Or the hunter actually ends up falling in love with a Bigfoot? Holding Out for a Hero - Bonnie Tyler (Song)

Prompts/Ideas: I love that this song could be interpreted in so many ways - it's basically pick a type of heroine, a scenario that she's stuck in, and a hero to come along and make a daring rescue! Some of my favourites would be: a medieval princess imprisoned in a tower who is saved by a knight; a sci-fi/Star Wars-esque scenario with a the princess/maiden being saved by a space cowboy/smuggler type; a Greek myth in which a human woman is saved from a monster by a demi-god; a Wild West adventure where rough and ready cowboy/gunslinger saves a damsel in distress; an everyday woman thrown into an impossible situation and saved by an actual superhero, a la Marvel or DC. Any one of these would make me happy, or a mashup of more than one, maybe? :)
